Earlier someone joined the clan who was on a different language server world (you know when you change your game language so everything changes). Now, we have broadcasts on for guests joining/leaving, and when they joined as a guest, it gave the broadcast - however it gave it in the other language to everyone.
Now apparently it's always been like this, but surely it should display the message in the correct language relevant to your server? I'm pretty sure quick chat does this - if you're on, say, a French world, you see the message in French, but everyone else will see it in English (assuming they're on the English-language servers).
So I thought I'd bring this to people's attentions, because while it doesn't happen often to us, and presumably to most people, it's something that should possibly be looked into?
Not sure if it's a bug or intentional, but yeah. Felt I should share it.

Oh yeah, my friends and I do that to confuse people from friendly clans >=3
The issue has to do with the clan data being stored on individual players and not on any sort of clan database itself. It's one of those "spaghetti code" issues that would require them to change how clan data is stored.
The "quick" fix would be to just make the foreign language broadcasts transmit in English regardless of what server language the person is on, but that would mean clans made up of foreign language players wouldn't be able to read/understand any broadcasts.

If that was the only fix, I'd say keep it as is because that's unfair on those who don't play on the English-language servers. And it happens so infrequently, I'm sure we can survive it. It was just something I thought I'd bring up though, just in case it was fixable.

The people I know from foreign language clans can read English well enough to understand the broadcasts. It's also not too difficult to learn a couple of lines
Either way I don't mind the broadcasts in different languages, they're not difficult to understand.
