I'd like to discuss the cost of Clan Citadel Boosters.

Prior to discussing their price, here is a bit of background information relevant to the discussion topic.

What is a Clan Citadel Booster?
A Clan citadel booster is an item that can be bought from Solomon's General Store.

When used, it doubles the rate at which a player gains resources and experience while training at a clan citadel during the current build tick. Players may use the booster on another clan member to grant them its benefits

http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Clan_citadel_booster

Pricing of Clan Citadel Boosters:
• 1 = 100 RuneCoins (100 per booster.)
• 3 = 250 RuneCoins (83.3 per booster.)
• 6 = 450 RuneCoins (75 per booster.)

Cost per RuneCoin (via Bonds):
• 1 Bond = 195 RuneCoins.
• Current cost of a Bond is 11,622,817 coins.

Therefore, one Clan Citadel Booster costs a minimum of 4,470,314 coins. They will cost more when bought in smaller quantities.

Are They Worth It?
Ask yourselves: If you were given one Bond, would you spend it on a Clan Citadel Booster?

Would it even cross your mind to use your Bond towards Citadel Boosters?

I'm presuming the answer is No for most. Objectively, 4,470,314 coins is quite expensive for a consumable which doubles your Citadel efficiency for that week only.

So, here's what I'd like people to consider in their replies:

• Are Clan Citadel Boosters are worth their minimum of 4,470,314 coins price tag?

• What is the absolute maximum you would pay for a single Clan Citadel Booster?

Personally, I don't think Clan Citadel Boosters are worth a minimum of 4,470,314 coins each.

The most I would spend on an individual Clan Citadel booster is 2 million coins. If I bought in large bulk (such as 6 at once) then I wouldn't want to spend more than 1.5 million coins per.

I wouldn't use a bond on a citadel booster ever. While they do help with capping time the different isn't significant enough for me to waste a bond on it.

nothing mandatory = why use 1 its dead content? in my clan we have no need as its t7 and always gets 50% more resources than is needed .

I grind away at skills and never boss and way to mean to spend gp on not skilling. But if you boss all day im sure you can make that gp to get away from ya citadel duties .

Pay up and shut up or just nuke the citadel give us a nice peaceful hardworking village community making things to sell in ge or the clan fete.

We could have a spaghetti making tool for cooking as a gentle reminder of days gone by.

For some strange reason jagex wanted the citadel to be hard work. the norman concept of fealty for life. slave labour to 1 man . sometimes very rarely it was possible to buy your freedom . but it was rare

If everyone was able to buy there freedom who will do the work.

The Plague (oldschool) finished this system as it became easier to earn money as no skilled workers were available .

The castle became ruins and the village Manor becomes the place to be.

Some stately homes occupied all the area occupied previously by a village .

As New money replaced old money it was possible to buy a title .

But you had to be filthy Rich to do it.

So 0gp to buy a boster
and yes if thats the asking price jagex wants

Absolutely not.
We have a maxed Citadel but it would be a nice reward/prize once in awhile. Over the Holidays I looked at them as an idea for gifts but the price is beyond much.
I would love to know how many are actually bought.

I love Ninmci's way of getting his views across :P

I wish citadel boosters were cheaper, but on release they stated they were for rich players to do citadel quicker. I wish that wasn't the case.

My clan is at t6, with 60% done towards t7, so ya, no ty on the boosters eventhough it has crossed my mind of purchasing a few for the clan but at same time, my clan caps at citadel all different hours so it would only benifit myself and at most 2 or 3 other players, just depends on each week in my clan.

However i wouldnt mind having jagex give us owners of the clans free boosters, maybe like every 3rd month or something.
