Hello there,

My clan's clan xp dropped by 400M, I happen to know because we celebrated 10B last week and we're back at 9720M. Is it calculated differently or what happened? It appears to not just be us since we actually reached a higher rank with our lower experience total. Part of the

Sombody/some people left the clan, taking their clan exp with them.

I assume you use the official runescape highscores. The official runescape highscores are updated every few weeks... or months, it's pretty random. As stated before when somebody leaves their clan exp is gone along with them, the official highscores doesn't deduct the exp straight away for some reason. You're only realising this now because the highscores just updated. Becasue of this the official highscores are extremely innacurate and shouldn't really be used at all. Use Runeclan highscores instead, they update exp reguarly (Every day) which makes an accurate highscores.

Nope, clan exp is lost when someone leaves your clan. You have 10b clan exp, clanmate A has 300m clan exp, clanmate B has 100m clan exp, they both leave, and 400m is dudected from your total clan exp. An example of what could have happened to you.

I'm quite sure that's not the case. We're a 500 player clan and kicking older inactive accounts all the time. We're also monitoring this clan xp for use in self made charts. Aside from that it's happened to many if not all clans. Are you suggesting all clans suddenly lost clan members? Part of the

Read my post, they have lost clanmembers over time, and the highscores has just updated, all the clanmate's exp they lost over the course of the few weeks has been updated and reducted.

Can confirm that all clan's xp was recalculated by Jagex yesterday. I believe it is manually initiated periodically by JMods, updating xp to reflect those that were removed or left. Runeclan xp is updated each hour and will immediately reflect xp changes based on members that are removed or leave clan.

I'm quite disappointed if what you're telling me is true. If this is the case it's focused on the individual players that currently make your clan. I've always seen our clan as a permanently evolving project. Some adventurers are lost along the way but they are not forgotten. I had hoped this number contained our history, all the way to the present day. Too bad today is the only day that matters, while our clan itself is nearly six years old. Part of the

I would think that theres more to a clans history than just what xp a person earned while being in it.

While the xp loss maybe true for overall clan xp i still think the xp for individual skills are not removed when a player leaves the clan.
