Hello everyone,
this thread will be a 'handbook' for important issues often encountered in the CLF's. It will outline many important topics regarding the Clan Leader Forums, and answer questions for new comers, or those who were inactive. There will also be directories/links to useful content for Clan Leaders.

All content in this thread will be updated and maintained on a regular basis. If you feel information is outdated, please post on the thread with what needs to be fixed. I hope this thread is able to help all users, and get the most experience out of CLF's.

•~• Account Issue's •~•

If you, or your clan member has an account issue posting about it in the CLF's isn't the right avenue -- there are official means in place which should be used by every player, no expectations.

For all account related issues go to the Account Help page on the RuneScape Wiki.

•~• Moderator Issues and CLF's: •~•

One thing over the years many players have had issues with is moderators -- both Forum Moderators and Player Moderators, I want to start by saying, if you have an issue with a moderator DO NOT post a thread here, this thread will not get the issue resolved and will only get you a warning from a J-Mod, and chances are they will not investigate the issue until done via proper channels. When dealing with Moderator issue's please follow the following guide:

Player Moderators:
• If a P-Mod is saying something in-game you feel is rude or demeaning you are able to 'Report Abuse' for "Disruptive Behavior" for behavior which you feel is 'unmodly', this is a broad category but essentially if you feel a moderator is being very rude or trolly, you can report them and Jagex will review ASAP.

Common Misconceptions:
- Player Moderators can mute whoever they want, whenever they want.
+ Player Moderators have guidelines they have to follow on muting, they cannot mute whatever they want -- and *every* mute submitted by a P-Mod is reviewed by Jagex, if the mute is incorrect we can make a guess the P-Mod is warned.

-----------------------

Forum Moderators:
• If a Forum Moderator is taking action on the forums that you feel is inappropriate, please 'Highlight' their post, and it will be reviewed by a J-Mod, is a J-Mod believes the contents of the post aren't suitable they will handle the situation.

Common Misconceptions:
- Highlights aren't checked!
It's a common misconceptions that players are under the impression highlights are not checked, but it isn't true -- J-Mods review all highlights, especially ones on F-Mods I'm sure, but in most cases the F-Mod simply isn't breaking the rules.

•~• Jagex Emails •~•

If you or a clan member ever need to contact Jagex, I will give a list of their emails here so you'll quickly be able to find them -- along with the purpose of each, although in most cases going to the forums section allocated for the issue (Account Help, Tech Support, Billing Support) will often give quicker answers, and sometimes even have the answers if you read the stickies.

•~• Clan Leader Forums Friends Channel •~•

To enter the CLF's friends channel just join the Clchat in the friends channel tab -- I'd like to ask you don't share this information with all of your clan, as this chat is for an area for those with CLF's access to communicate.

Rules:
• All rules of CLF's and RuneScape apply to the channel.
• Please do not flam other users, or degrade to personal attacks.
• Try to keep real world topics (Religion, Politics, Ect.) out of the chat, as this often just leads to arguments, instead you can PM someone about these things. :)

•~• Posting in the CLF's: FAQ's! •~•

Q: Can I post non-clan related topics?

A: Yes, non-clan related topics are often posted here, the Clan Leader Forums are not restricted to clan topics only, and as such most topics can be discussed -- please remember though to avoid these topics, as they mainly lead to issues:

• Rant Threads
• Moderator Abuse Threads
• Naming and Shaming Threads
• Conflicts with Other Clans Threads
• Non-Constructive Threads (Threads which give no real values)

------------

Q: When players leave a clan, are they removed from the CLF's?

A: This topic has arose a lot through out the years, and mainly the same answer is given. Some Clan Leaders often leave clans or discontinue being a leader with access here, in a lot of cases (it really depends on their activity here) they are allowed to stay, because they can still contribute to this area with their past knowledge, and experiences. And isn't all about running a clan in the present, it's also about what you have learned from running a clan.

------------

Q: If one of my members has been hijacked, or one of my leaders should I post a thread here about it to get a JMod to review it?

A: No, please use the "Account Issue's" section above for dealing with hijacked accounts, posting here isn't going to get it dealt with any quicker; the proper channels are always the way to go.
