Hello!

Been digging into livid farm lately to unlock the teleports for farming purposes.

annnddd I've seen this type of response all over the internet, so I'm just going to add one more to the pile. I'm at ~40k points so far, and already I want to blow my brains out...and I need to get to 350k.

It requires just enough attention that you can't AFK it, yet it's so mundane that although you have to pay it a lot of attention, it has nothing to truly peak your interest...just click click click click sit for 10 seconds....click click click click click....sit for 10 seconds.

World hopping doesn't seem to be working for me, as the plots are reset when I log into another world, and I end up having to wait until the timer hits its 60 seconds anyway to refresh all plots.

SO with all that in mind...what are some alternatives to getting produce points?

Google search is just showing the travelling merchant. The next livid plant roll on travelling merchant isn't for about 3 more weeks.

Right now I'm just going to pace myself at 5-10k per day, so I don't end up pitching myself out my apartment window.

Hello.

I am afraid there's really no other way to go about this. As an activity, Livid Farm is extremely click intensive and requires a lot of attention in order to earn the points. After a while, you'll become used to identifying and curing the various plants. -shudders-

I wouldn't really recommend world-hopping at the farm. Just stick with the world that you're on, and complete the tasks when they reset themselves. Use free time to make additional fence pannels, bunch produce, or even work on protean materials.

One way of increasing your points is by using a Livid Farm point enhancer. You can randomly find these from the Motherlode Maw in Prifddinas, receive them from Wythien, or from Meg's questions at the Quest Caravan (if you have the Adventurer in training perk). Alternatively, you can convert an unfocused reward enhancer into a Livid Farm points enhancer. These items do have a limited charge, but they'll help boost your points as you work on the farm. I'd recommend checking with Wythien in Prifddinas, to see if you have any that you can use.

You are correct in saying that the traveling merchant offers a large number of points. This is something that would be awarded in the form of a livid plant, which can also be earned by completing Pauline Polaris's requests at Manor Farm, in Ardougne. Both of these are random, and I wouldn't recommend fully relying on them.

From a personal perspective, I found setting myself a target of 20k points a day helped me work through it. Use enhancers if you have them, remember to do the random events, and try to buy the livid plant from the merchant when it's available.

I hope that helps.

Thank you for the reply.

Kind of discouraging overall, but at the same time helpful and I'll eventually power through it I guess :(

My only note is about identifying the plants.

Unless I've missed some kind of penalty for getting the plant identification wrong, I've found that if you click the plant, and then just already have four fingers placed on the 1 - 4 keys on your number row, mash them all at once and it'll just identify the plant without having to sort through which is which.

You're more than welcome. :)

You'll soon work through it. Just make sure to set yourself a small daily goal, and take regular breaks to help ease the monotony of it.

Yes, that's a good strategy. There aren't any penalties for incorrectly identifying the plant: you won't need to worry about losing any points.
