So I'm trying to complete the Ready? Trek! task....I've done a medium one with a medium companion 4 times now and still haven't completed the task. What should I do?

Is this a known issue? I cant get the achievement to pop and I've tried multiple times.

I'm taking who I think is the medium companion (mage or archer depending what side) and going through the medium path letting him join in etc but I cant get it to unlock. This is my last medium achievement for the set, I completed the quest to unlock it a longgggg time ago.

I have tried this from both sides several times.

EDIT: FINALLY I unlocked this achievement. There were only two significant things I can think of that changed:
1) I swapped my lucky sara godsword for a normal zammy spear and removed my Tirannwn quiver
2) There was only one combat sequence this time with the three snakes coming back from burgh de rott, I punched all 3 snakes and stopped letting the follower kill them all for xp whilst they focused on me. Previously I had let him kill 2 and killed the third one myself for speed.

How do you get over the Bog River ???
