bratcw

Hi,

Welcome to the new Castle Wars friends chat,
bratcw
. This Friends Chat's main goals are to help members in:

a) obtaining tickets for the Completionist Cape (t), or
b) for cosmetic items such as the halos and faithful shield
c) acquiring game-count should the want the 5,000 games cape.

Although it is not our main focus, we can help you complete your Ardougne diary by getting you a win either in our ticket games, or if none are running, in a private 1v1 match.

Furthermore, many members of
bratcw
are experienced in playing Castle Wars and can offer you help and tips should you wish to improve your abilities in the minigame. And as such, something which bratcw would like to do is host its own FC competitive matches.

bratcw
can proudly boast that it will offer crash-free games. We can make this promise because the FC was founded by professional Castle Wars players who make up the core of out Anti-Crash unit. .

We plan to make out grand opening on Spotlight, but if we get enough people joining before then, we can begin to run games even earlier! Make sure to refer your friends to help fill the FC up quicker.

How to Join bratcw

If you'd like to join bratcw, just make a forum post here; there is no annoying 20-questions post to fill out but it would be nice if you could say why you plan to use the fc. You may also send an in-game pm to 'lucifurr' if you feel that publicly posting on this thread may jeopardise your rank in another Castle Wars fc.

We are especially looking to recruit people who have experience coordinating games!

bratcw
does not reject applicants should they be members of another active Castle Wars FC. However, this does not apply to those who are staff-ranks of other Castle Wars FC and is only waived under exceptional circumstances. Just as well, we have no policy against members of bratcw being in another Castle Wars Friends Chat at the same time as being a member of bratcw.

Ranking System

Gold Star: The Gold star rank is reserved for founding members and members of our professional anti-crash unit.

Silver Star: Silver star rank is given to those with lots of coordinating experience. You must also demonstrate that you are proficient in anti-crashing.

Bronze star: Bronze star is given to those who know how to coordinate games. If you wish to be considered for silver star, you must organise a trial.

3 stripes: This indicates that you are a boosting member. If you wish to be considered for Bronze Star, you can arrange a teaching session with a coordinator (Bronze or Silver Star or select Gold stars). The teaching session will be waived if you have previous experience.

================================

Silver Star Trial:

The trial for Silver Star will consist of a 'crash' run by a few of our professional anti-crash team. The goal of this is to to test you abilities as a coordinator to deal with crashers and the various tactics they may use against you.

To pass this test you will have to have a 2 point lead by the 7 minutes remaining mark of a game. It will require at least two back-to-back wins against our anti-crash unit so that you can demonstrate knowledge of dealing with crashers joining mid-game as well as during portals. You are not allowed to hop worlds for this test.

Saradomin will never be made to lose during these tests as the trial will end giving you enough time to make sure Saradomin wins if you should not possess a 2-point victory by the end of the trial.

Feedback will be given at the end of the trial and there will be available a short guide with some tactics to deal with crashers.

================================

lucifurr
is the owner of
bratcw
and as such, any queries you may have can be sent via pm in-game to him as well as posted on this forum thread.

Method

Please familiarise yourself with this method, which is the same as other major boosting FCs.

When you join games, you will, unless otherwise stated, start as the role
Zamorak to Saramonin (ztos)
. To perform this role:

1. When the current game ends, you will enter the Zamorak team's portal.

2. Once the game begins, wait until the 19 minutes remaining mark and you should get a message saying "there are enough players to award gold tickets." The coordinator will call out "Sara Sell" in the FC.

3. Once "Sara Sell" has been called, you must then leave the game and head over the the Saradomin portal.

4. Once in the Saradomin portal, wait until you receive a message asking you to join the current game. If there were people in the portal before you, wait until the have successfully gotten onto the Saradomin team before you accept the message.

5. Once you get into the game on the Saradomin team, you will leave the spawn room and exit to the RuneScape lobby.

6. Once you have lobbied, and not before, you will type 'in sara' into the FC.

7. After everyone who wants tickets moves from Zamorak to Saradomin, the coordinator will give the signal for you to log in.

===============================================================

The Other role is
Saradomin
. To perform this role:

1. When the current game ends, you will enter the Saradomin portal.

2. Once the game begins, wait until the 19 minutes remaining mark and for the message "there are enough players to award gold tickets" appears.

3. Once this message appears, the coordinator will call "Sara sell." Once this happens, you will exit into the RuneScape lobby. You need not say that you entered the lobby if you are Saradomin.

4. Wait in the lobby until the coordinator gives the signal to log back in.

Method, continued

Leaving games is simple. If you wish to leave games, you must:

1. Wait until the 'login' call is given.

2. Sometime after the login call and before the end of the current game (ideally at least 3 minutes before), you can type in the FC that you want a '2gw'.

3. After you give your warning, you can finish the current game to get your tickets.

4. For the next game, you will have to remain in-game on the Zamorak team until the login call is given. This is usually 3-5minutes. After the login signal, you are free to leave the game completely. This is known as a
Sacrifice (sac)
.

5. Under certain circumstances, the coordinator can offer you the option to complete the final game for tickets. In this case, you will perform the role you had at the time of giving your warning for your final game. You will not have to perform a sac in this case.

================================================================

If you wish to play for game count, you will be given the role of
Permanent Zamorak/Sacrifice
. To perform this role:

1. Enter the Zamorak portal.

2. Stay logged in until at least the login call. After the login call, you are free to lobby for up to 9 minutes (any more and the game will not count for the quick chat).

Permanent Zamorak do not need to give a two-game warning and can simply request a one-game warning and leave games any time after the request is given.
