Chaos Elemental resides in the deep wilderness. It was the strongest monster there for a very long time. After the wildy rework two months ago the powerful new monsters make chaos elemental seem a bit weak for a monster so deep in the wilderness. There is literally a pack of more dangerous abyssal savages right next to it!

I think chaos elemental should therefore get a buff to make it significantly stronger than any of the slayer monsters in the wilderness. It doesn't need to be the next big boss, but something more than what it currently is. Also it would be nice if it posed more of a threat to passers by, so high max hit would be great (or not great, however you want to interpret that).

The mechanics are fine in my opinion. A very plain stat increase would be enough . New mechanics could be added, if desired, but it is not necessary.

The drops propably should be buffed as well to compensate for the increased difficulty.

I'd actually argue that the opposite is true; because the Wilderness has become significantly more dangerous, and in particular because there's Abyssal Savages standing within range of it, the Chaos Elemental is now failing at its role as an entry-level boss (because that's the role it has always had; even at the time of its release it was only roughly on the same level as KBD, the Barrows Brothers, and the Dagannoth Kings and the threat was primarily provided by the risk of getting killed by other players, not the Elemental itself) and should be made less dangerous, not more.

I almost wonder if it should get its own arena that's still technically in the Wilderness (maybe replace the Scorpion Pit with it? That place has always felt extremely out of place for a Level 53 area); something to keep these entry-level bosses out of reach of the Abyssal Savages, and could even host instances that could still be crashed by Wilderness monster ambushes and the Volcano fragments -- you could even go as far as letting players host Instances there, including a Hard Mode fight for people who want the Elemental itself to be more of a challenge.

Good and valid points. Yes, if we want the elemental to still be an entry level boss, then you are absolutely correct (and even then some rework is needed as you brilliantly pointed out.) However, back when chaos elemental was released, it was one the strongest monsters in the game and the strongest in the wilderness. The others you mentioned were also quite hard back in the day (except Barrows, which definitely are not on par with chaos elemental). Sure, time goes on, and for example Nex is not among the strongest anymore, I get that. But I think that the deeper you go in to the wilderness, the more powerful monsters you should encounter (and yes, that scorpion pit is COMPLETELY out of place).

Personally I feel the elemental should be stronger and not exactly an entry level boss, but then again, your view is also justified. The game should anyway have a couple of low-level bosses anyway.

IMO it needs some kind of action because it is just annoying right now. Constantly tossing me into the abyssal creatures. It might be cool if there were multiple spawns, spread out so you can't AOE them but you get thrown into their range and then have 2 attacking.

Multiple spawns of Chaos elemental? Interesting and not impossible idea. Personally I would prefer only one but that is not a really bad idea either.

And also yes it would make sense for the abyssal savages to be a little further away so they don't interfere.
