I'm hoping this thread is in the right place. I made all of the skilling tools for invention, the rodomatic, hammertron, and the pyrobox. However I stop gaining xp at 1159/1160. It's like this on all 3 items, I haven't tried it on weapons or armor yet cause I don't want the same thing to happen. Gaining xp up to 1159 is fine, but it stops there and it doesn't level up. I used lamps and cogs to get up to level 56 on invention so I should be good to get up to level 10. I've tried every npc talk option in the invention guild 5 or 6 times, I also used extreme invention potions to get access to higher level blueprints just so I could complete them for xp and feel like Im working my way up the ladder. There's no blueprints left in my discover tab, I'm maxed out on divine charges, I most certainly have the item equipped, ive went through the tutorials and tried to again many times, ive tried many different skilling methods on all 3 pieces of skilling equipment, and nothing works. I got 99 smithing with hammertron and got nowhere on invention, I got 99 firemaking with the pyrobox and got nowhere with invention, im about to tackle 99 fishing and really won't want to spin my wheels on this too when I could be making progress on invention at the same time, especially with all the fantastic things I've heard about the skill. I've scoured forums, had conversations with multiple people in game, ive tried everything. I don't know what I'm doing/did wrong. Help plox Just trying to make it yo

Being able to level augmented items up to certain tiers doesn't happen automatically. You have to research the blueprint on an inventor's workbench first.

Check if you can research a blueprint named "Augmented items maximum level 5" or something similar.

yes, augment everything you can, use the augmented item religiously in your other skills, and read the wiki for best lvls to drain the xp.

I also potted up to get 99 when I was about closing toward it by discovering, and just recently got 120.

How did I get the homestretch from about 107? I dumped all my bonus stars onto Inv, hoarded and converted for protean cogs, stocked up on cinder and pulse cores, and didn't touch the skill until a bonus xp weekend. And kept using my augmented items in my other skills to drain.

Got my 120 and my master cape the last double xp, and haven't done anything since, lol!

Good luck to you! :)

I want to augment all my things, but when I do I can get it to where I need 1 more xp to level up and I don't get xp anymore. It starts at level 1, I gain 1159 xp where 1160 is needed to level up, and it stops there. It doesn't level, and I don't get any more xp and it doesn't use any more charges. That's what I'm trying to figure out. Invention takes so much more xp than all the other skills, and I don't want to be limited to lamps and cogs to level invention. I've used every blueprint I'm capable of discovering right now and stayed at it til efficiency was at excellent. But there's no point in augmenting my equipment if I can't get past level 1. That's what I need help finding out, I think I'm plagued with some kind of bug and I want to see if anyone else has had this problem, and if I can make my problem known to someone who can do something about it if it's beyond my control. Just trying to make it yo

glad someone who knows how to link did!

I was looking at the forums, and wondering if the "general" category was applicable, or perhaps the community support tech support?
Asking in "general" might get some folks chiming in.

Again, good luck!
