Ores and logs are core resources of the game that are the central focus of two full skills. Flax plays a much less significant role in comparison.

Thus, I don't think there's a great necessity for a flax box, specifically. However, you mentioned something for crafting resources. A possibility could be something more generic for all crafting-related resources, which could include flax along with hides or other crafting materials.

I think we need a bone box too, and an ash box, a fish box, an incense stick box, a ring and necklace box, a potion box, an archeology artefact box, and a summoning secondary materials box.

Or perhaps it is time to simply make all items stackable instead of lugging all kinds of boxes and bags around. They feel like a bandage on the game. They take one item at a time and make a bag or a box for it, until everything is essentially stackable. Just take the full step once and for all.

We are getting a lot of chances to earn and create notepapers for those odd lots items like flax. I don't see specific flax box being created just for them. Who still want to collect flax in RS3 when even new players can make more gp and xp gathering something and buy flax from the GE.

Bone box is also not likely as we have a Monolith Power to note all bones dropped by creatures. We also have dragon trinkets to take care of auto noting dragon bones.

It is likelier to see other item auto noting updates than boxes for just a specific item.

Then why do they keep making boxes for specific items?

Boxes are for holding a variety of items we may collect with one skill in one trip. Quite often we can gather different types of logs, ores, fish and such in the same trip. There aren't different type of flax for us to worry for with a box.
