If you want to skip the intro, the game is on post 2

Has anyone ever felt forum debates get too boring and stale because people use the same arguments for different topics over and over? Has anyone ever felt they could always guess what the incoming argument would be to such an extent they type 'inb4...' Or anyone got the feeling their thread is going to entice one or two trolls who come on with the same attack pattern such that the OP becomes unwilling or too insecure to post a thread knowing that he'll be the victim of a certain mindset of the community?

Yeah, it's an alarmingly boring trend on the forums regardless if you want to improve game content or just here to chill and farm post count (for whatever reason).

Yeah I've been there before spiralling down into
ultimate
despair
.

So why not play the predictability game? And experiment with ourselves to see just how boring and predictable society is.

The Predictability Game:

To join in, simply quote a post a person has made anywhere on the forums, be it a Jmod, an Fmod, a Community helper or any regular player and post that quote here. In the same post (or multiple posts if full), below that quote, predict what someone else has to say. It doesn't have to be the exact same words, just the same meaning being conveyed will do. Afterwards, if anyone is interested in seeing whether or not your prediction is correct, he or she can always click on the 'said' link of the quoted post and check what the next person says.

Regulations:

The rules for this game are:

1) There is no point in making a prediction here then head over to the thread you were on and post your prediction there as well unless you are making predictions on what comes after if you commit that intention.

2) Post carefully. Do not edit a post even if there are errors made. So if you are particular about grammar or spelling, make sure to double check. My first two posts disregard these rules due to having put up 'res'.

3) Do not name and shame or continue the arguments of the quoted post or any other posts of that thread here. This is a game, not a continuation for debates.

4) Do not name anyone you are predicting. For example, if you think player A is going to respond with 'This is the stuff I like. Support!' do not name player A. Just say something like 'Someone's going to say 'This is the stuff I like. Support!'

5) Do not make a prediction if the prediction comes at least 5 minutes after the outcome has been made.

If anyone breaks rules 1, 2 and 5, well, it's really on the rule breaker, because at the end of the day, doing so removes the fun of being able to really predict posts for the rule breaker.

Obviously, rules 3 and 4 are in line with the forum's code of conduct.

^ I have to admit, I am impressed by that unpredictable response.
...
Well, it is a matter of opinion. But for those who don't use HD, kindly post a picture of your bow. Also, if the rainbow bow is indeed more stuff you won't be tempted to use, use the zamorak bow you are fond of.

There will be a follow up of troll-calling and being in league with another.

This one is going to be a ride:

Having been frustrated getting the race done due to real life issues interfering with the half hour restriction of the terror bird race I have come forth with a proposition: Seeing that the terror bird race can only be done once an hour, there is really no need to introduce a start and finish time. Restricting each race to 30 minutes does not make sense unless players are allowed to race multiple times within the time limit - but players will complain about the event being too op since races can be completed within 1 to 2 minutes.

So we'll leave in the 1 race per hour restriction, which is already pretty limited. But there is no reason why players have to miss out if they happen to race at 7:35 pm due to an outing with friends and family. Isn't that a bit too restricting upon our real life schedules?

With the 1 race per hour restriction already in place, please remove the start and end times of a race and make it 1 hour of cool down after each race is completed. Thanks to the thirty minute mark, I have missed out on races due to real life schedules and thanks to one race per hour restriction I cannot even make up for lost races.

1) One of the first comments: 'Your title is miss pelt'. Someone else will debate 'That's because the title couldn't fit' and if no one says it I'll have to.

2) 'No, just no.' or 'No.'

3) 'The agility xp is too op already. No support' (Honestly, should learn to read that the race is once per hour and I agree with that restriction in the proposal specifically to combat 'xp too op'

4) Learn to manage time wisely if you are committed

5) No need to let this stuff bother your real life activities (for a stupid slo mo animation). Someone else will counter 'You have to learn not everyone got the time to do this and that there is little time for them to do this within the specified race time because of real life activities.

And if I want to argue number 5 with 'slo mo and all 2017 tokens' is needed to get 2015/2016 tokens unlocked randomly without rune coins, someone is bound to say 'just buy off ge. They're like what? 100k to 2m depending on what you buy'

6) 'No support. It was like that before' (Doesn't mean Jagex can't improve can they?)

7) Why talk about it now after 3 beach events? (People have already lobbied feedback to improve the beach updates. But after the beach events ended those posts were bumped off recent game updates. You just missed them)

8) 'I bet you're just using this as an excuse to popularize your forum game' (Like I stated on the thread, I was pretty annoyed with missing out on the race TWICE, making me put up this proposal. Although I am interested to see how many predictions of my despair I get correct)

9) 'I bet you support with your alts' (Thought I listed out who my alts were beforehand, but really, it is up to you to decide that. It's not a Jmod official poll so why the heck would I even bother to do that?)

10) ^This. Exactly. Agreed.

11) It will be back next year. (Please provide proof it'll be back next year. Besides, it coming back next year does not mean people have the time for beach event by then so better try getting everything when you got the time to during any beach event)

12) You should have done this last year to avoid having to run 20 times. (I never mentioned in the post whether or not I did terror bird races before)

Here here Revan, but I responded to the outrageous claims of the op, very insulting to other players, and coming from a player with mental health issues I found that difficult to accept without passing comment.

Its the wild wild west out there, runescape needs the danger, the fear, the game is already way too safe.

His evidence for 'outrageous claims' should be the following:

Original message details are unavailable.
Most who are out there are either scamming players, or just trolling them. It adds very little to game in its current format.

My answer in advance: While it is true this can be passed off as stereotypical, it is a form of criticism that limits the emotions the OP has built up within him. From the way he suffered despair in the wild thanks to pkers who generally do not care if you are properly geared for a willing, glorious duel, he did his best not to unleash a tirade against them on the forums even though in so doing it would be understandable as a tirade costs the pkers nothing, while he suffered loss of time and/or items regardless of value.

And unfortunately, it is true. Many pkers have earned a reputation of luring such as the ancient tele tabs they claim to take players to Menaphos before Mod Pi fixed it in response, either to troll or to scam. Obviously this is just a continued sadistic mindset of a portion of the pking community who perpetuated such acts before with various bug abuse or tricks etc.

Oh and since I haven't lost anything in the wilderness this 2 or 3 years, I don't have the emotions to be prejudiced against all PKers.

But hey, the poll is pretty conclusive don't you think? If you don't want to vote but continue the side track argument that's fine by me. Because sooner or later, the game developers would have to satisfy your lore needs by making all armours resemble the one I provided above.

Next post would be:

Not all armours have to be restricted to that to make it real. It can still have variation you know. Besides, the bikini is a ridiculous comparison to armours that don't exactly look like your extreme example because the bikini offers little to no protection. So I I'm not saying Jagex has to enforce real armours upon us, and even if it were real, real life armours can vary much more than the example you provided thank you very much.

I was comparing the difficulty you have en entire 30 minutes to do the race, but less than 5 minutes to get a kill and you choose to complain about the easier one.

You can only get one clawdia kill per hour, subsequent kills will not count.

Very well. And yet you choose to ignore this:

In other words, the statement below:

Original message details are unavailable.
You must have a very, very hard time dealing with getting clawdia kills then, why didn't you post a thread about that?

Can simply be answered by my lack of interest in killing Clawdia. But anyone who is concerned with Clawdia spawns being too restricted is free to make his or her own thread about it rather than discussing it on this thread.

I did consider pitting in Clawdia but as I said before I can't because I have no interest in it and is not the main focus of my problems.

inb4 But Clawdia is much harder to kill and yet no one is complaining about it:

Argument in advance: I've repeated this before but you just refuse to acknowledge my rebuttal simply because you cannot answer: The rewards for both Clawdia and Terrorbird Racing differ dramatically and since I am not interested in the title I have decided not to split attention between Clawdia and Terrorbird racing on one thread.

If anyone interested in Clawdia for the rewards posts a complaint about its restrictions I would fully support.

August? More like the entire year 2017. I came back to the game in May after a 9 years absence and the degradation in quality is shocking, actual content updates have been almost non existent, and what is added is buggy and poorly tested, if at all.

But perhaps the most worrying sign i see is that Jagex seem to be designing content with a MTX first philosophy. Now i have no problem financially supporting a game via MTX, but you have to earn it with quality content, and in the time i've been back this is very much not the case.

Then why'd you come back?

Seems like with every update it just so happens on that update by sheer coincidence a player returns after many years for no reason and by sheer coincidence he happens to find a thread bashing the update and thus post?

So let me ask you. If Runescape is unplayable why bother coming back? Actually never mind that, why even bother subscribing for membership?!

He's gonna emphasize the March date. Hope he doesn't but I can see it coming.
