One day, a snail approached a man's door. The snail was lonely, and decided to ask if he could live with the man, so it could have a companion. The snail slowly climbed up the wall and rang the doorbell.
A tired looking man answered the door - he looked around, expecting a human, but eventually finding the snail stuck to his doorbell.
"Sir," says the snail. "I am a very lonely little snail and was just wondering-"
"UGH!" says the man, disgusted. "I HATE snails!"
So the man picked up the snail and threw it out into the yard.
Two years later the same snail comes up to the man's door and rings the doorbell. The man answers, and the snail says,
"Hey, what was that for?"
