I had made it through the maze. I couldn't believe it. I had slain Mad Melzar, a man of extraordinary madness, who had summoned cabbages across the floor for a reason I did not know. I fought my way through horrid zombies; aggressive, giant rats; I fled frightful ghosts; and destroyed strong, walking skeletons. And now I faced a giant, red demon. I was afraid. I approached the demon slowly with my mace, and I broke into a sprint. It was a fierce battle, but the demon was bested. A green key was among the heap of ashes the slayed demon left behind. I opened the chest with this green, warm key and received the piece of the map I needed.
