At the Grand Exchange, there were hundreds of adventurers and skillers milling about. On this one fateful day, many were training Firemaking.
Willow ... maple .... yew ... magic ... elder .... all types of wood logs being tossed onto bonfires and braziers for hours on end.
Then it started.
Fireworks appeared above one adventurer. They just hit Level 99.
Then another. Then another.
One adventurer seemed to get 50 million experience in the skill.
A great deal of fireworks erupted as another reached 120 in the skill.
Adventurer after adventurer hit milestone after milestone all at the same time.
The explosions of color and were glorious ... and deafening ... and then ... more fires started to spawn as a result of the fireworks.
It took 4 days for the city guard to finally get the fires under control. Another 3 for the Grand Exchange to get rebuilt in time for some sort of weekly reset.
Sadly, the Grand Exchange clerks forgot to hang up the "no smoking, no bonfires" sign.
