Near the banking spot of Burthorpe, all manner of adventurers and and other folk were milling around. Some were starting fires, others were using those fires to cook with. Some were training fletching, crafting, herblore, magic...Others were handing in various daily objectives they'd gone out to complete. The gnomes within the banking booths were stretched to breaking point with the constant demands to open people's banks and hand over items they'd stored with them. It was a place rife with noisy life, and this was the scene she first phased into.

Taleisin had been travelling Gielinor for the majority of eight years, only to simply phase out of existence for the last two years of the land's development. Though people tried to find her, she simply ceased to exist for a time. But now she had been reactivated - though for what reason, she did not know. The wind blew gently through her red and black locks, tugging at the pale robe she had been wearing when she disappeared.

Now that she thought about it, she tried to recall the last thing she did. She vaguely remembered the desert, and requiring her enchanted water tiara...She raised a hand and drew down with her finger, opening her inventory. It was mostly filled with luminous memories and wisps. She frowned for a moment before flicking her finger to the left, opening her stats menu instead. There was a flickering skill at the bottom, and she pressed it.

"Congratulations! You have reached level ninety-two!" The message read. Taleisin let out a quiet sigh. That explained what she had been doing before she phased. She had been training Divination. But now she had two years to catch up on, yet she did not know what her next step was. It was time to retrieve her things from her bank and leave Burthorpe.

Hello, my darlings. Brace yourselves, for I have once again returned from the great wide world to grace you with...Something. I probably knew where I was going with that line originally but now I just have a brain fart.

Regardless! Welcome to the newest installment in Threads Taleisin Started But Never Continued...In The Lands Of Gielinor!

You are...Your avatar in Runescape. You are technically a real being within the world of Runescape. You do all your typical gamer things, like training skills, going on quests, combat, dungeons, whatever. But they are real things to you. Doing these things is what is natural to you. Inspired somewhat by SAO, you are aware that the world is constantly under development, but you still continue as adventurers.

You may be at various stages of your avatar's life. Perhaps you recently returned to the world of Gielinor - having been simply phased out as Taleisin was and reactivated once more. Perhaps you have always been there, and are at the height of adventurer awesomeness. Perhaps you are a new person just starting out, and the only memories you possess are of activating and entering the world. Whoever you may be, you are here now. Your purpose in being activated is not quite clear yet, but it does not matter. You must learn to take the world on, or band together with others to save it. Or...You know. Do whatever you would do in Runescape. Dress up in a pink miniskirt and sing about particular same-gender bars. Whatever you are into.

Welcome to the world you were activated to live in.

Rules

ALRIGHT. As always, there will be rules! For without rules, there is chaos! Anarchy! And that is only okay when sown by me.

1. No prejudice. I will not tolerate discrimination against gender, race, social status, age or religion. This is a safe and secure environment for roleplaying. I expect you to respect that, or leave.

2. No spamming, flaming, trolling of any sort. You try that on my thread, I will kick your sorry backside out faster than you can say "Blazing male ******** of the opera!"

3. Despite what I said about pink miniskirts, I do still expect you to take this somewhat seriously as a roleplaying thread. Please do not ruin scenarios for the sake of ruining them.

4. No one-liners. If you think I have not seen your posts, I probably have. Therefore this should not present an issue.

5. No godmodding. If you have generally understood this thread so far, you are of sound enough mind to know what this is. All players have a right to decide what happens to their own characters, not the characters of other players. If you attempt this, please refer to rule 2.

6. There is no ban list. I am trusting you lot to actually abide by the rules of conduct and my own rules. If you do not, I will issue a warning that you should not be interacted with. I do not enjoy people who ruin roleplaying for others, and my roleplayers should not have to suffer for it.

7. Relationship roleplay is an ongoing thing. I have no issue with it. Feel free to hook with with each other. But please keep things PG13. If you would not do it in public or in front of children, assume it is not acceptable to roleplay such things out. Timeskip if you absolutely must mash your weirdly shaped parts together ICly.

8. There is no rule 8. I misled you. Suffer in the shame of being misled.

My Bio

Name: Taleisin
Gender: Female
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 8St/112 lbs/50.8 Kg.

Appearance: Beginning with her head, Taleisin's hair is of mostly a jet black with blood red streaks running through it to settle just below her waist. The fringe sweeps off to the left side of her face, often impairing the vision of her left eye. Her face itself is of a pale, heart-shaped complexion - though the cheeks are a little hollowed. Her lips are of an almost pouted shape, hiding pearly white teeth, set below a relatively small and slightly pointed nose. The eyes themselves are a large almond shape, framed by long, thick, black eyelashes. There may well have been a time when they were of a standard brown colour, but over time the irises have turned a vibrant electic blue, almost humming with magic.

The rest of her body is lithe, with hints of muscle in her arms, legs and shoulders while still maintaining a slender waist and a large 32E bust. Her nails remain short for the purpose of combat, and there is a tattoo across her shoulderblades of a pair of wings, most recognisable as those of the Master Aura of Harmony.

Starting gear: Bandos Chestplate, Bandos tassets, Culinaromancer's gloves 10, Amulet of Fury, Ragefire boots, 99 Magic cape (trimmed), Berserker ring, Abbysal Whip, Dragon longsword (Both can be switched out in favour of the Bandos godsword.)

Personality traits: Most people meet Taleisin and think "What have I done to annoy her?" At times appearing cold, calculating and generally annoyed with just about anything, this lithe warrior has only one goal in mind - achieve her task, whatever it may be. Is there a chance to see the woman beneath the tough exterior? Who knows?

Current combat level: 128.

Skill Type: Melee/Mage based.

Short history: Like all adventurers, Taleisin phased into existence nearly ten years ago, fully formed and confused about where to go. She met all sorts of people, some who turned out to be good friends, others...Were people she would rather did not exist. It is a well known fact that she was once part of the clan of Ultimate End, where it was rumoured she belonged strictly to the clan leader. But after a disagreement, she broke free of such chains to join a rival clan, Mates Not Levels. This is where her adventuring career truly began to blossom, and her skills rose much more quickly around the friends she made in the new clan, along with her lover, Sorcerero.

Sadly, she phased out of existence for a time, only to reactivate and become the clan leader - by this point her lover had phased. However, leading a clan was not for her, and she passed the reins on to another before quietly phasing out again for two years. And now she has returned.

Anything else: None.

Stuff I need to make clear

What do I mean by "phasing and reactivating"?

Simply put...Your character is nowhere to be found when you are online, correct? That is what I refer to as phasing. The character does not physically exist - though the effects that character has had on other people and the world are still in effect.

Reactivating happens when your character appears once more in the world of Runescape. If this has happened after a period of time, their last memories of the world will be fuzzy (Like Taleisin's was), but they will be of the last activity your character did before phasing out.

Why isn't there an age in the bio?

Your character ingame doesn't age, does it? So by default, neither does your roleplaying character. You simply exist until such time as you phase out altogether.

What gear can my character wear?

As long as it is a genuine item within the game and it makes sense for one of your level to wear it, go for it. Preferably I would go with something you actually did get when you played ingame, but then if I limited it to what you as a player did ingame beforehand, we would have a lot of confused people.

What can my character do?

What do you usually do ingame? Or what would you like to do ingame? If you are skilling, your character will perform the ingame actions of whatever skill you are doing. Fletching, crafting, herblore, smithing, mining, woodcutting, etc. You gain experience within the skill, so it is possible to level up during roleplay. Please do try to keep it realistic. I achieved 99 attack in a month. Getting it within a day is just silly.

For those who want to do combat, you roleplay out the battle with creatures much as you would in any roleplay. With the exception that upon death, a menu will pop up of items and the total experience you won. I encourage researching the monster you are facing for general accuracy.

You can also arrange to do raids on a boss ingame. Maybe you want to visit the God Wars Dungeon, maybe you want to go kill the KBD, maybe you want to do a Barrows run. The roleplay works the same way as the combat. However with the items dropping from these bosses, try to be realistic about them. Killing a dragon and randomly winning a Draconic Visage on the first go (Or possibly five hundred goes) is going to get you stared at while I plot to remove your ********.

Another thing is...Quests. You can choose to go on a Quest (picked from the ingame Quest list) and roleplay it out. Feel like running through the dwarf quests? You can! Want to do Mourning's End II for reasons you can't quite grasp? You can! (You will need to look up the quest in order to portray it accurately though. We will know if you make it up.) Generally recommended to do this with another character.

Do I have a House?

Yes. Player Houses are still a thing and you still need to pass through the portals to get to your House. Or cast a Teleport Home spell (assuming you have the runes). How good your House is will be based on your construction level. However, if your construction level is not particularly high, I will allow characters to stay in the homes of other characters because I'm nice.

What if I take enough damage to actually die?

Death in this world is not permanent. Much like you would ingame, you get teleported back to a home city of your choice. If you do sustain enough damage to "die", you will explode into glittering polygons before fading and reappearing in your home city. Unlike the actual game however, you can keep all your items. But your gravestone will still appear where you fell. The only true death is Permanent Phasing.

More will be added if I have forgotten something.
