So, I'm hunting the kalphite princess pet but I am unsure about a few things.
1. if its my kill; but I'm not in the room, will i still receive the pet if it drops? Because sometimes others will come in and kill kq while I'm at the bank or even right upstairs on the way back.
2. If I emergency teleport at the same instant the boss dies will I get the drop? If not how many ticks after kq goes down will the drop register?
I'd really appreciate any input on this yall, ty.

I do not completely know the answer to your question. However, I imagine that as long as your receive the text on your screen that the boss has died and the Kill Count populates, the pet will spawn following you regardless of location.
