Hello, I set myself some extreme restrictions and then beat Jad!
Here they are:
Challenge 1: Complete the caves the "intended" way; using legacy mode, as using EOC makes the caves far easier.
Challenge 2: Do not use any "sneaky" methods to avoid gaining XP. kill everything normally, take all of the XP.
Challenge 3: Try to beat the world record minimum time from account creation, to beginning (successful) Jad attempt w/o using MTX to speed train
Challenge 4: Complete the entire caves using magic only, and i'm restricted to stay level 1 magic for the entire cave.
Challenge 5: No auras to be used during the cave
Challenge 6: No signs or portents of life/death, as i class that as cheating.
Challenge 7: No pocket slot
Challenge 8: Can't log out. In the old days, if you logged out, you would forfeit the attempt.
Challenge 9: No deathtouch darts of course, as that's clearly cheating. It skips the entire boss fight and that's the most difficult part. I know that dtds are an "official game mechanic", but it's stupid to say that you truly beat Jad when the dart did all of the work for you.
Challenge 10, no use of weapon poisons. Magic did not have access to weapon poisons pre-eoc.
I started the caves at 11 combat and killed Jad at 31 combat.
