Single sign on failed because

Every time I go to log into the mobile app I click sign in by email slash username I enter my username and password and click login and then it kicks me out to back to the main screen with an error saying single sign on failed because you failed to sign in I have double checked rechecked and triple checked my username and password and it is all correct it does not even bring up to enter my authenticator or anything it just kicks me out and gives me that warning saying that I could not sign in because I exited before I signed in but I did not click anything to exit and it happens every time

Hey, 'single sign on' means you're trying to log in with a social network login e.g Google.
You will need to click to log in with RuneScape account. Life is like a camera: Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't work out, take another shot !

I figured out how to fix this in case anyone else runs into this problem.

When you click sign in via email/username a in app browser window will prompt you to login. Open this popup in chrome or your preferred browser on mobile and login that way. It should work.
