Accidentally reported a friend

Hello,

I tried to click on my friends name to send him a pm message on mobile. But instead it opened to report screen. It happend so fast and I kept on clicking and received the message that I succesfully reported him. It was an accident and he did nothing wrong at all, he was in lobby, i don't even know the reason he is reported for. I feel bad about it.. will something happen to his account for sure now?

If your friend didn't break any rules, then you both have nothing to worry about. Jagex will review the report and action it if necessary, or discard it if no offences were made. False/accidental reporting happens more than you think.

It is worth noting that they might action you for persistent false reports, most notably if it's done maliciously. I don't mean to say that to worry you further, but it's still worth having some caution going forward.

You're very welcome. They'll be aware that accidents happen, particularly as players adapt to mobile and use its interfaces. This sounds like an isolated incident, so I'm certain it will be discarded with no consequences for yourself or your friend - try not to worry!
