FireOS is Amazon's operating system for their Fire Tablet series. FireOS is built on top of a version of Android (Android 7 I believe), which is why it's physically possible to jam the Play Store into it. However, just because you can force APK files to install and rune Google Services, does not make it compatible with mobile.
Compared to phones, Fire Tablets are honestly.....pretty lacking. Even though Mobile only says Android 6/2GB RAM/OpenGL ES3, there is a *lot* more in a phone than just those. Pretty important stuff too, like processing power. Fire Tablets suffer in these areas, with the Fire 10 (basically the flagship) stammering at a mere 2GB RAM and 1.8 GHZ processing. My Fire 7 is even worse, at 1GB and 1.3 GHZ processing. Even though they supposedly meet minimum specs, they really don't because full specs are not detailed yet in this early access beta.
Now as far as no access via the Amazon App Store.....
Honestly the Amazon store is complete crap. When I got my tablet, none of the stuff I use were even on there (think Reddit, Discord, you know, pretty major stuff), and the things that were there (youtube, gmail) looked kinda sketchy. The bottom line is that Amazon is not kind to third-party developers and they are way too controlling about what goes on their app store**** Mobile not being on the app store is not Jagex being lazy, it's a widespread, systematic issue that Amazon needs to deal with before third-party app developers will jump on board.
So, the bottom line: Fire tablets are pretty terrible and likely do not meet running specs. Forcing APKs to install does not mean compatibility. Issues with no apps is Amazon's fault. @Lisaa_RS - Followed by @Runescape
