Is playing alts on RuneScape mobile not possible anymore? After the update, whenever I click on the logout button at the login page, it closes the app instead.

It is possible, you can clear cache or use some kind of app for cloning apps which is more convenient ( MIUI has built in "Dual Apps" ) so you can play 2 accounts at once.
