Updated the app after todays system update. Cutting vines with easy & medium scrolls disabled produces constant game chat notifications:

An easy clue scroll drop you would have received is dissolved by Zaida's magic.

and

A medium clue scroll drop you would have received is dissolved by Zaida's magic.
