Melee combat xp breakdown ques

I have a qurstion about the exp breakdown for the melee xp. The xp goes to 4 skills, attack, health, strength, and defense, do if i get 360 xp is that 360 xp to each of the four or is the 360 divided by 4 and only 90 xp goes to each of the four? Im a bit confused about it.
