So it's widely accepted that bossing on mobile is a meme and is much too messy to pvm. As such I've tried to come up with some fixes and I'd love to hear your comments.
Full manual might as well be impossible and Revolution is fine for most things but its still a pita to cycle through the abilities/prayer switches that you need to do to not die.
The screen is too busy!
Simplicity is king for mobiles games so that leaves us with Legacy Mode as the best possibility for this game to shine when its fully released, but it needs some work to be remotely comparable or even half as useful as the others in this game. Here's a list of things that I think need help:
Freedom and anticipate don't exist for legacy. They're required for almost every boss above Giant Mole but there's no way to access them because obviously, they're abilities. A way to remove stuns is pretty important these days.
Rune/ammo use in legacy is about 10x non-legacy combat. I don't know that there's a real fix for this but its a huge downside to supply costs using legacy.
Single target dps is lacking compared to the others. Manual should have a clear advantage but from what I understand its quite a steep difference. In my opinions it should atleast match the damage of a bad revo bar.
AOE: Things like the Noxious scythe and halberds lose their advantage of aoe-ing, quite important for path 1 Araxxor.
Mobility: this is kind of ironic but mobility sucks on mobile, especially in legacy. I also don't know that there's a remedy to this, but its enough of a downside, imo, to buff some of the other things.
Disclaimer:
I certainly don't think that legacy should be used on PC but I would really like to see mobile RS3 be a bit more UI friendly. I think the current combat system is too bulky for mobile and legacy mode is a great way to clean up some of the bulk. Looking at other mobile mmorpgs you'll see that the abilities on screen are pretty minimal, 5 abilities or so, and osrs mobile did a great
