Cant buy OSRS bond on Android

I'm clicking the bond button next to the special attack button on the minimap on Android mobile. I would like to use my Google rewards balance to buy one bond. I click on buy now, and a gray box that says "ERROR" just keeps popping up and is seemingly unable to connect to the google play store. How can I fix this?

Did you pay for your account membership through the Google Play store? or Did you pay for your membership directly through the website?
If you bought membership through the website, you won't be able to make purchases for the account through other methods e.g. Google Play store.
