Cannot load app after update

Was logged out due to the update. After completion the update I was able to loggin. Maybe 5 mins later I was logged out (probably due to inactivity as I was afking yews). When I tried to log back in I got a black screen with a message that read "failed to connect to server. Please check your internet connection" and the automatic retry timer. I am definitely connected to the internet and my down speed is about 100mb p/s. I left it to keep trying to reconnect for a while until I uninstalled the app and and downloaded and installed it again. I still ran into the same issue. I have also tried restarting my phone. Any suggestions are welcome.
