Auto brightness?

Since the recent update (7/7/2021) I've been having brightness issues on tablet - every time it darkens when I'm clicking on inventory/prayer/quests/friends list tabs etc and then it will suddenly brighten again when i click out of tabs. Has there been some auto brightness update? If so is there a way of switching it off please?
