I know this is a duplicate thread, but I read the other ones which are locked and the mod just said to create a new one? Confusing...

Anyways, I have an Ipad 7th Gen, and when I'm on another app for more than say 20 seconds and I go back, I'm disconnected. Background App Refresh is on for the app, I've also turned it on and off to try and 'reset' it.

What's the current status on this? Is this expected? Will this be changed?

Reddit posts say to check battery settings as well, but there aren't any on the ipad that would relate to this issue that I've seen/found.
