Connection Issues

The issues are still actively being investigated and resolved. We’ve also edited the article to reflect the issues that some players are experiencing with the desktop client.

We're aware of issues affecting some Old School RuneScape players when attempting to connect to the mobile app. These players are being met with the error message "Failed to contact server. Please check your Internet connection".

We're also aware of issues affecting some Old School RuneScape players when attempting to connect to the official Old School RuneScape game client. These players are experiencing long loading times, with 'Loading configuration', 'Loading application resources' and 'Loading application' all taking a long time.

Our SysAdmin and our Game Engine teams are investigating and are working on resolving the issues as a matter of priority.

We'd like to thank you for your patience, we're working to resolve the issues as soon as possible, and we'll look to confirm once normal service is resumed.

Some players have reported successfully playing on mobile by following these steps:

Navigate to the oldschool.runescape.*** website.Open the World Select page, in the Game menu.Choose a game world to launch the app. Note that if you're still met by the error message above, then try opting for another game world.

We appreciate that having to resort to such a workaround isn't ideal, and again we'd like to thank you for your patience.

Tried so many worlds all ready and none of them work Cleared my cache and Forced closed the app every time.

85% of my play time is on mobile. Just bought 3 months of membership and i can't even play. Are we going to be compensated? Hope we get some anwser on that.

Nothing works anymore.
It's been a week now since the issues started.
I've been able to log twice.
Once by switching WiFi and once by deleting the app and redownloading it.
But out of these 2 lucky shoots nothing worked. And both only worked a single time.

Jagex seems to forget mobile app was the resurrection of his game. It would be great to not forget the mobile community and quickly fix the issues (not sure if quickly is the right term when it has already been over a week...).

As a 99.9% mobile player, if the issue isn't fixed fast enough, it will mark the end of my come back.

Edit : tried the website world log-in too without success.
