I seem to be in a weird Catch22 lockout situation:

I’ve been playing on mobile casually for months. I only used Game Center to log in, and never really thought it’d be necessary to link my account with an email from the in-game option. Now ever since the most recent update, it’* asking me for an Authenticator code which I can** setup because my account technically has no email linked to it? I can*t recover anything either because *all accounts made after November 2010 need an email address”. When I press “can** log in?” It asks for the email which is not setup, only my Game Center was.

*Note* I did use an email address specifically to make this post, , so I’m not talking about this account (it’s username: weirdflexm8, but it IS the email as I use for my Game Center though)

Here’s the steps I’m going through:

Open OSRS Mobile app > App recognizes Game Center user (weirdflexm8) > click “Play Now” > get prompted with Authenticator asking for 6 digit pin (I don’t have one set up since I don’t have an email address set up with that username) > click “can** log in?” >
opens page asking for email/username and password (don** have email setup with weirdflexm8 account)
>click can** log in again> click “I don’t see Game Center or google option>
goes to https://support.runescape.***/hc/en-gb/articles/360001528005
Steps say in order to set up email, log on to your character and select in game option >
****cant log in because of step 1*****

If it is asking for the Authenticator code it means Authenticator has been set up on the account.
Did you set it up?
If you didn't, it means someone else has.

If someone else has accessed your Game Centre account to get into your Runescape account, I recommend you change the password to your Game Centre account.

To deal with the login issue, you will need to message Jagex via the Forgotten login support page.
