Is there more than one way to enter the room where the piano is?
If so, which way did you enter the room?
You have to enter the room from one particular entrance point.

Also, after playing the piano, you have to search it.

Accidentally blew up my Ruby and Emerald keys, and they DO NOT respawn. Anybody still have them? If so I would appreciate the loan of same, and will return afterwards if desired. Help! I cannot finish! Badass Biker

The ruby and emerald keys are supposedly not tradeable.

Check your quest guide, check your bank, try to move further on in the quest and see what happens.
