This has been a known issue since the latest update. The developers are aware of the issue and have been working on a fix. You can expect an update on Monday ( July 24th ) that will fix the crashing issue. Mod Gecko, over at the official OSRS Discord, keeps us up-to-date on all things mobile. Thank you for the reply!! its great to know they are working on a fix.
I was going nuts.
I try on 2 diferent android phones and still got the same issue on both.
I also try reinstaling the game with no succes.
I try looking on reddit, forum and twitter and dint saw any post about this teleport-crashing issue.

I still experience a crash once in a while after teleporting lol
There has been an update that fixes the crashing issue. Head to your app store and download the latest version of the game. If you are still experiencing crashing after installing the new game patch turn down your volume. This will stop you from crashing. :) Ooh, shiny things!

Mobile app still crashing. One crash has happened twice at the same point now, when leaving the tears of guthix room right before it gives me the xp. It's crashed at various other points too but that's the one that I noticed had happened twice.

It appears that the patch did not work for everyone. They are aware of the issue and are working towards a patch that will fix it for everyone. They’ve located the problem. It has something to do with memory issues when teleporting to a new area. There hasn’t been an ETA as of yet when we can expect to see the patch, but patience is key. Ooh, shiny things!

Can confirm that I have the same issue you are having right now, it occurs every time I go to a new area or city the client would freeze and not crash and the “Loading - Please Wait” as well as the percentage that would either get stuck at 0% or 50% preventing me from interacting with the client and the only way to resolve the issue is to either completely kill the application through task manager or close the application and then reload and log back in again and ta da it fixes itself. I don’t ever recall something like this happening while using the good old Java client, haven’t had a single problem with that thing but I do know at some point it’s going to become obsolete in the coming months/years.

I’ve had similar issues such as

-Using the world switcher where the client would exhibit the same behavior however you could still interact with the client by clicking on the map and your character would move to that location, you could interact with your inventory, stats,prayer, and other slots, the only thing is that the game screen which shows your character would be completely dark and stuck on the “Loading - Please Wait” no percentage or anything and it will stay like that until you do what I’ve mentioned earlier in the post.


Ever since I’ve upgraded to the jagex account 2 days ago they were other issues I’ve had with the OSRS official client via Jagex Launcher:

- NPC’s not appearing visible in the game preventing you from talking to them or their heads not appearing in the chat dialogue when speaking to them, an example of this would be Squire (Veteran) at pest control and a few other NPC’s as well

- The Building block (the one that you melee at) not being visible at the POH

- The interface when using the spirit tree to teleport to places doesn’t have the scroll overlay and makes it look transparent in game

The list goes on and on, I really hope they can fix this issue ASAP have heard nothing for the past 2 months.
