Ok all. Temporary solution here that worked for me on my s9+

First off, go into your app settings and force close your OSRS client.

From there, go to the OSRS website and look for the "Manually select world" option.
Click it.

It should bring up the list of OSRS worlds. From there, scroll down and click on a UK world, and it should open your game via the app and actually load through.

It seems to be loading slow, but it has got me all the through and I am now playing again.
