I believe tile markers were something that was discussed in the past. Apparently Mod Gecko had considered this, as per quote on 25 July 2022.

Mod Gecko mentioned the other day in the official OSRS Discord that they did like the idea and would forward it to the developer team to take a look at if this would be possible. I have high hopes, but only time can tell!
The fact that this is yet to be implemented suggests to me that perhaps tile markers are something that Jagex no longer considers.
