Summoning Beach minigame Xp?

Someone asked this inside the game - when u play Summoning on the Beach minigame - why are we not receiving XP for summoning ?

I tried this once - all it would let me do was collect crystal shards or something - could not kill any monsters - also I find strange that we are transformed into a jellyfish

That is the Familiarisation Distraction and Diversion, which has been in-game for 10 years.

That D&D does not award xp. it awards you with your choice of a box of summoning ingredients, for making pouches, or a charm drop enhancer that gives you 40 minutes of triple charm drops.

Did those shards that I picked up go directly into my Bank ? I did not get them in my inventory every time I picked them up in the mini game ??
