Full inventory,no mystery box?

I turned in my zodiac talismans when my inventory was full (yes, I probably should have checked before doing so...) so the game gave me the level up message along with earning a mystery box. Of course, because my inventory was full I was unable to loot the box. Is it forever lost in space now? Or is there some way to obtain it? I checked item retrieval with no luck. Any ideas?

Hmm, I tried to turn mine in with a full inventory just now and it wouldn't let me, because of the full inventory.

Are you sure you didn't get the same error? You said that you got the game messages, so it seems strange that you'd be able to turn them in with a full inventory when I wasn't able to.
