Ok can someone here give me a straight answer as to how this thing work when logged out? When I log out, will it automatically pause itself, or do I have to do this myself before logging out?

I got some many mixed answers in the game itself from the community so I figured I would come ask here to see if I get the same results, or if a forum mod or Jmod could chime in.

The 48 hours of DXP counts down whenever you are in game during the 10 days of the DXP Live event . The timer is not counting down when you are logged out or in the Lobby.

The new toggle allows you to pause the in-game countdown for a time, so that you can do other things in game, such as treasure trails, or helping a friend with something, or preparing for a skilling session by filling vials or making headless arrows, without worrying that you are wasting your DXP time.

Players can now hit pause on their 48 hour Double XP entitlement whenever they wish, meaning they can safely go about preparing for their next skilling marathon without their bonus time whittling away.

Tread carefully, however – after toggle you will not be able to change it again for another hour. So think ahead!

Pauses are indefinite and persists across log-ins, but if the Double XP time remaining is equal or greater than the amount of time left in the event, your pause will be deactivated. Your Double XP timer will no longer disappear after you've used up all of your Double XP entitlement.
