Have to wait to buy Premier?

I had a 1-month recurring membership via Apple to see if I’d get back into RuneScape after years away. I now would like to purchase Premier, but can’t due to the Apple subscription. I cancelled that, but it remains active until 11 January. Can I really not purchase Premier before then? It seems daft to prevent me from spending more money and waiting until my membership lapses. Is there anything I can do to completely halt the current subscription and switch?

I am in a similar situation. I bought a month while on my phone, Google store, and now can't purchase premier either. When I subscribed that way there was no indication or warning to me that I would be unable to buy anything at all until January 22, 2022. Is there anyway to just have my current membership stripped away so I can buy premier?

There is a technical incompatibility between membership purchased through a mobile app and membership purchased through a pc.
If you want to swap from one system to the other, your account has to be F2p.
