Hi,

I came back to RS in April 2021 after being gone a year which I had membership until Feb 2021 if I remember correctly. I was gone due to a real life event that prevented from being able to play. So when I came back I purchased membership by buying bonds and was confused thought I had gotten it under premier club. So it gave me premier club for 2021 but I think it failed to give me 2022 premier club. I probably did it wrong. Is there a way to check it and allow me to have 2022 Premier club? I haven't received anything saying that I have 2022 PClub. My membership is good through Feb 2023 but I'm confused if 2022 will be considered Premier club.

Thank you

Hi there
Babes

The membership you bought in May 2021 was not Premier club, it would have been regular membership.
Premier Club is available to buy for a limited time each year and never during May.

Jagex advise players what they have bought in the confirmation email if buying through the website. Otherwise there is a confirmation message inside the 'Messages' tab on the account.
Messages in the 'Messages' tab only stay visible for three months.

Did you buy membership through the website as well as redeeming the Bonds?
The reason I am asking is membership through to Feb 2023 is a lot of future membership to have.

If you bought membership through the website (with real world money), check the confirmation email you received to see exactly what you bought.
Read this article to find out about how to purchase Premier Club: Purchasing Premier Club

If you are unable to find a confirmation email or message about your membership purchases, you can tell if you have Premier Club or not through the extras you would have if Premier Club is active.
The easiest thing to check is to try to log into the VIP world (world 52).
If you can access world 52, you have Premier Club.
If you cannot access world 52, you have regular membership.

If you find you definitely don't have Premier Club but would like to cancel some of the future membership you have so you can buy Premier Club, you will need to contact Jagex' Billing Support and get them to check your account and help.
To do that, go to the Refunds support page and use this navigation: Contact Us -> No -> Jagex -> Request a Refund to get through to a message form.

Hi Malua

Thank you for replying. I do currently have 2021 premier club because I am getting the benefits. I was gone a year I went through medical issues in 2020. My membership ran out I think in Jan or Feb of 2021. The year 2020 was also a premier membership purchased with in game bonds. So when I came back my mind was in a state of confusion to be honest. I had logged onto my account periodically to check on it for the year 2020 but didnt actually do anything from feeling bad. When I came back ready to play I cant remember the exact date but I realized my membership had run out so I think it was April or May 2021 I had gotten more in game bonds to buy Premier Club but as you said its not available in May so I guess I just thought in my mind that it would carry over. I know I bought a lot of in game bonds. It hadn't occurred to me to be concerned until I read about Premier club on a recent update and it said if you bought earlier in the year you contact jagex and they could convert over to 2022. So I may have messed up and I'm not really feeling like going through too much right now. I might just let it go. But I am concerned that my membership lapsed and I don't know if they realize I started playing in 2008 and have kept current until this recent 2020 absence. I'm not good at explaining this whole thing but can you help me get my game date fixed.

Thank you

, I apologise. I have only just seen your reply. The other poster hijacked your thread and I replied to her instead. :(

Your forum avatar shows May 2021 - this is the month you started your current continuous membership.

Err....no.
I think the news article you saw was in relation to Premier Club accounts that were affected by the "Login Lockout" issue (February 2021). Jagex offered those players a discount on 2022 Premier Club but some players had already purchased before the discount was available. Those players were being asked to contact Billing Support to get the discount issue sorted.
If you were out of the game during February 2021, your account would not have been affected by the Login Lockout.

Jagex ran a promotion only three months ago (called the Summer Sale) where players could buy 2021 Premier Club.
This was very late in the year and has never been done before. Usually Premier Club goes off sale at the end of February.
If your account has Premier Club currently, either you bought 2021 Premier Club during the Summer Sale or you have bought the latest 2022 Premier Club.

Premier Club is not part of the grandfathered pricing.

The date under your avatar shows continuous membership, not account age. Meaning, if you interrupt your membership, that date resets to the date you resume membership.

You said you have been buying your Premier Club with in-game Bonds.
So, you spend gp you have earned in-game right?
You aren't buying Bonds through the website with real world money.

Hi Malua

Right I purchase my bonds through the game at the G E. I see what you mean about the date shown on my Avatar. I think 2020 was a bad year lol. I had been ill and missed about a year of my paid premier club for 2020. I could barely even log in during that time period. So I didn't get to play for a year that I had paid for with bonds I bought in the game from the Grand Exchange. When I came back after recovering in 2021, I got confused about my membership, which I think ran out in Feb 2021. I know I bought a lot of bonds in game with my g p. I kept buying and redeeming thinking at that time I was purchasing premier club. When I noticed I had probably redeemed too many I figured it would just roll over for next year (2022). So as it stands now I have membership until Feb 2023 I purchased with all bonds that I bought in game with my gp at the Grand Exchange. I didn't realize that update message was for others who had gotten locked out. It would be nice if 2022 membership could be considered Premier Club since it was a life threatening real life issue with my health. I've always logged on and played since 2008 on members worlds. That's a long time and I don't want a special favor but if I hadn't gotten ill I wouldn't even be making this post. If it turns out 2022 is not Premier Club then I guess I'm out of luck. But the bright side is I have membership either way until 2023. I appreciate you checking into this issue. I have Premier Club for now which I guess might end at the end of December 2021.

Thank you

As far as 2022 Premier Club goes, you need to message Billing Support and ask them about getting it with Bonds when you already have Bond redemptions lasting you until February 2023.

I suspect you might not have enough redeemed Bonds up your sleeve to be able to get 2022 Premier Club without needing more Bonds.

I say this because, if someone bought the Summer Sale 2021 Premier Club, then bought the 2022 Premier Club, they should have paid membership up until at least August 2023 and you have said your future paid membership goes up to only February 2023.

At this point you need to start talking directly to Jagex' Billing Support as they can see into your account and advise you.
To do that, go to the Refunds support page and use this navigation: Contact Us -> No -> Jagex -> Request a Refund to get through to a message form.
(While a refund isn't exactly the issue, this page is the page to start on when sending a message about Premier Club purchase)

Note: Premier Club lasts for exactly 12 months from the day you purchase. It will only end on 31st December if you bought on the previous 31st December.

Second Note: You are in a disadvantaged position having paid for your Premier Club memberships with Bonds bought in-game through the GE.
You would have a much stronger claim for support (in relation to your non-use of 2020 Premier Club due to illness) if you had paid through the website with real world money. :|
