My account was locked because I had an unpaid balance. I paid my unpaid balance yet the second I paid it the unpaid balance re-updated to the same amount. Jagex sent me a message confirming that they received my payment but the system is acting like I never paid anything and it won't let me log into my account. When I try, it gives me the message "The unpaid balance on your account needs to be settled before you can log into game?

The money was depleted from my bank account, so the payment definitely went through. It has been about an hour and a half yet I still can't log into my account.

Does it take a while to update sometimes? I am very eager to get back to playing runescape

You need to message Billing Support again and ask about the updated amount.
I suspect the balance owing was more than was originally shown however Billing Support will be able to check the account for you.
Use the 'Contact Us' button on the Settle an Unpaid Balance support page to navigate to a message form.
