Is there a legit way for one person to pay OSRS subscription for another person, other than via membership passcodes? I mean specifically the premier year membership, the 2 days offer which is active right now.

I've never paid subscription so I don't know how the forms look. Will there be a question which account it pays for, or it is assumed the same account you login to the website? Previously I paid by prepaid cards or bonds, which can be transfered freely.

I suspect there is no easy way to do this. I've found a help article called 'Transfer purchase': you pay for one account, and then you ask to transfer the subscription to another account. The implication is that both accounts are yours - but is it a requirement? Is the applicant required to prove ownership of both accounts, or only one - that which he initially paid for? I mean there are payment details asked, real name, and other personal questions - but they seem to be for one account only, the one from which the subscription is gonna be transfered. Does it mean that the second account, to which it will be given, might have a different owner and its ok?

Please answer before the premier offer expires ; )

The only safe method to buy a membership for someone else is to redeem a Bond for a 14 day membership passcode, then message the passcode to that other player so they can use it.

Otherwise you have to be logged into the account you want to buy the membership for and Jagex would NEVER recommend a player logs into another players account.

It is assumed you are logged into the account you are buying membership for.

This article only applies when a player is accidentally logged into the wrong account at the time and ends up buying membership for the wrong account.
Billing Support will check that both accounts belong to the player contacting them.
They will NOT transfer the membership to another players account. Why not? Because it becomes too easy to commit fraud.

I can't see the 2 day Premier offer. Those promotions are targeted.

I see! Yes, this makes sense. Its not a way to give it to somebody else, only to prevent mistakes.
