Hi all

Trying to purchase a couple of Old School Bonds using SMS as my payment method. When I select the package I would like [5 bonds for $10 AUD], I get taken to the payment screen. Once there, I get the following message:

Original message details are unavailable.
We're sorry - your request cannot be processed at this time - please try again later.

If you are experiencing a persistent problem relating to payments, please contact us.

When I click on the contact us section, it takes me to the knowledge base. Haven't been able to find a solution there.

Anyone know why this is happening? :)

The only AUS mobile network that supports an SMS Bond purchase is Optus.

If you have an Optus mobile account and are having problems, work through the troubleshooting page: Common PaybySMS/Boku Issues

p.s. the SMS price for 5 Bonds is AUD $50. You only get one Bond for AUD $10

can i buy the bonds in estonia? about a year ago i bought by sms and i was able to buy 3 bonds for 17 eur but now it says me the same message and keep saying

Hi I am in Australia and I am with Optus. I am attempting to purchase a 3month membership package by paying with SMS.

I too am receiving the same message that Gavo did

"We're sorry - your request cannot be processed at this time - please try again later.

If you are experiencing a persistent problem relating to payments, please contact us."

It is odd that when I select 160 runecoins (which is available in Estonia funnily enough) the payment proceeds to a window to enter a mobile number however it does not work when selecting for bonds or membership.

To my knowledge I was not aware of any restrictions to Australia. Can I get some assistance with this problem?

The same error message is showing for me too.

If you try the one month membership, the currently available networks are Virgin, Vodafone and Telstra.

My payment page is showing that it is cheaper to purchase one month at the moment.
My one month price shows AUD 14.00 AUD 17.00 .
Does your one month price show the same?

This thread was created nearly a year ago and Optus was the only available network for Oz Runescape purchases back then. It seems to have changed quite a bit since.
sms payments have always been a very changeable thing.

G'day all

Been a while since my last post here on this thread. I wanted to see since I last posted if the PayBySMS feature had been updated or changed. Since making this thread over a year ago, the mobile phone carrier which I would use to purchase bonds / membership has been completely removed from the Boku payment screen.

The current carriers on the Boku screen are:
* Virgin Mobile
* Vodaphone
* Telstra

@Malua - I tried your work around and choose the 1 month / 1 bond option instead of the 3 month / 3 bonds option to see if that worked. Alas, no. Every single option, either it be a 1 / 3 / 5 month or bond option are all greyed out for all three carriers.

I have tried getting in contact with the Boku team via the knowledge base and following the links via email to them - no reply. I don't know what else to do. I cannot buy any bonds :(

Is there a specific reason Australia cannot use the PayBySMS option? If yes, could I know the reason?

@ Necronox - If you need assistance with a payment issue, please create your own thread. You will get much better results that way, instead of bumping a thread from nearly 3 years ago.

In the Community Led Support Forums, it is much easier to give everyone the help they are looking for if each user creates their own thread about their issue.

Every user's situation is somewhat unique, and it can get confusing as to which post is to which user, when more than one player is trying to get help on the same thread. Advice given to the original player may not apply in each case. Also, when tacking your situation on to another player's thread, those helping may recognize the thread as one where the issue had already been solved, and may not notice that a different situation has been added to that thread.
