I bought 1 month membership in June. I still have 4days left of that purchase and was planning on taking a break from runescape. But I got charged AGAIN for a second 1month membership automatically. I don't get how that was possible. I emailed for a refund but they are not getting back to me. I really need the money back as times are hard atm. Thank you!

Nearly all subscriptions are recurring.
This means that you don't just sign up for a single month, you sign up for a renewing subscription that rebills three days before the end to renew for the next month.

This is advised on the payment page when you sign up.

If you want to cancel, you need to cancel more than three days before the end of the subscription.

To apply for a refund, start on the Refunds support page.
The usual response time is within 48 hours but, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, JMods have been working from home and response times have slowed down.
You will get a reply but it could take a few days longer.

Yeah, when did they start doing this? Im not in agreement. Used to be one time payment now theyre turning into a company that seeks to bill you without knowledge? Granted after reslizing this you can stop it and (maybe?) It says something to that effect when you subscribe? But given that its never been like that i assume its not like that. Does Jagex care for its customers anymore, The players who have kept this game strong? Seems not when you can buy your way to glory without barely having to play at all and then this? Is this game going down the tubes? I deserve a bit of respect as i respect those who created the game for us. Ive been a player and member off and on for 12 years. I feel abused in all honesty. One way to solve that i guess, not play if things dont change.

The recurring membership system has been the same for over fifteen years.

Every membership bought with a credit/debit card or through PayPal is a recurring membership.
Memberships paid for with Runescape PrePaid Gamecards, Bonds, PaySafeCard and a couple of other less common methods are not recurring.

Actually, this is not true for all memberships. I have bought premiere membership several times and have never had to cancel a recurring subscription. This is new (or at least newish) for premiere.
