Last night I opened the game to start playing, and I can't get RS to launch. It starts loading and the prompt closes, but the game doesn't launch.
I have tried everything short of nuking my computer:
- All of the troubleshooting within the Jagex "Help Center".
- Restored back to a recovery point that existed prior to issues.
- Uninstalled and re-installed (5 times in total).
Nothing is working. Long time ago I quit working because the ability to play was trash (kept crashing) and now that I've come back, I had a week of play-ability (still crashing since I used AMD) but now can't even open the game.
What happened between last time playing and inability to play:
- Game crashed (of course). Since I was about to start doing something else anyways, I didn't re-open it after crash.
- I connected to a different network. I was traveling all day Thursday and connected my laptop to my Mobile Hotspot while on the go. I didn't try playing, but Jagex was open in the background since it never closes on its own.
Is this really what RS has become...a trash game that prevents you from being able to play due to a crappy launcher that decides when it wants to work and a crappy game that can't handle an AMD processor (which is a million times better than Intel)??
Seems like they need to bring back Browser play. At least that was consistent.
