Doing research, myself and hundreds of other players are having problems with AMD drivers as of the beginning of February. It has not been addressed in anyway, and people are just expected to downgrade their drivers which sucks with all of the new games coming out right now.

To expect us all to downgrade just so we can play this one game is absurd on Jagex's part.

Has anyone found any other solutions to this issue other than downgrading your computers drivers and customizing it for RS3 use only?

And just an FYI, I have....
Launched from the RS app
Launched from the Jagex launcher
Launched from the Steam launcher
Cleared the cache in all 3 of those
Cleaned my PC
Reinstalled all drivers
Reinstalled all version of the game listed above

Step up your game Jagex. You're embarrassing yourselves, and for some reason can't figure out why you're losing players.

Hi there
B for Brian
,

The problem actually seems to be on AMD's end, and the only hope for users of AMD is to wait for an update coming out this year that will fix the issues that are currently being experienced.

Until then, unfortunately there does not seem to be a resolution other than to downgrade the driver to a previous version.

Hi there,

i've had random client crashes after 22.5.2, last stable version for me is AMD driver 22.5.1.

Almost 8 months of problems now,

My quess its OpenGL(what RS uses) cause all my other games use DirectX and never had a 0c0000005 error.

O well, some day a fix will be found.

ps 23.2.2 is like 10% more stable but still it crashes allot, tried on fullscreen but that didnt make a difference

send over 20 bugreports to AMD, and in the windows 11 logs the 0c0000005(rs2client.exe) error get auto reported to microsoft, so I did my part.

Now Im downgrading back to 22.5.1
