This could be the result of multiple things; i.e. using a new browser, disabling cookies, VPN, different location login, etc. I would ensure you check your email in-case any suspicious login locations were detected, other than that just make sure cookies are enabled and also browsers privacy mode will disable cookies usually and you'll have to keep using the authenticator code, that or any managed PC/Network from a organization or school. Same laptop, same location, same browser. No updates to either laptop or mobile in the period. Had this a couple of months back too.
