I have upgraded my pc and i am having to run in compatibility mode.
Looking at requirements I am higher than what is required but are there some high end systems that are not supported?
Or somewhere I can run a system check?

"upgraded my pc" is vague. I mean, did you upgrade your operating system, get a new graphics card, or buy a whole new PC?

I still don't know which compatibility mode you mean, but I'll guess you mean the graphics one in RuneScape since you mentioned PC specs.

What graphics system do you have? You might have some sort of problem with your graphics driver which is preventing RuneScape from running properly. Have you tried running DDU to clean out all graphics drivers and then reinstalling the graphics driver? DDU works best if Windows is running in Safe mode when you run DDU. Again, I'm assuming you have Windows.

Have you tried Razer Gamebooster? that puts a lot of system processes into 'slow' mode (?) I don't know how to word it, but that might help. Windows Key + X, then M (for devices) if you want to see what processor and gpu you have. Then just check the RS3 steam requirements.

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows Vista or higher
Processor: Intel i3+/AMD @ 2.4+ GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce 400x, Intel HD 4x, AMD Radeon 7xxx +

Check whatever you have against those ^ on userbenchmark.

I had a GeForce 650Ti that ran RS3 just fine, they go for around £40 on ebay, if that helps. Bob says:
