When I click to open the app, it doesn't do anything. I've deleted and reinstalled but that did nothing. Before that, it wouldn't recognise the Java I had installed, so I deleted/re-installed the app to try again and this led to the problem I'm having now.
Any fixes that don't involve much faffing around? Surely there must be an easy fix...
The recent java update last month kinda messed up a few things...gotta do a java rollback to make it work. Either it does nothing, or it tries to load the app and then instantly crashes....or makes the launcher throw an unknown error and have you close out of it.
jre-8u331 is a safe one to go back to that still works. sadly, little bit of messing around to do it; but, getting the older one from oracle, and then
removing java to install the old one
will do the trick.

Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?

returning player to have a look and i have the same issue however i really dont want to mess with my java settings as i had system crashes related to java late last year and dont want to go back to that. I havent updated java or anything, It was something to do with memory control/allocation. I got it fixed for modded minecraft.
I double click my osrs client and for a quarter of a nanosecond the blue circle appears then goes away and other than that, nothing happens/ I tried deleting the "LIVE" folder as jagex suggested but nothing. Aside from the memory issue with java i havent changed a thing but alas, osrs is as responsive as a sack of potatoes
