Jagex Launcher Error

Hi, So I sit down to log in on my home laptop for first time tonight. Jagex Launcher says needs update, so click Apply and Restart. The download speed is dreadfully slow, Kb/s, eventually giving an error. I try again and again. So I remove the program and try to reinstall it. When I run the install exe, it gives the same error after super slow download speeds:

Failed to access content on network
Read operation
Timeout on I/O

It's still not working. Anybody else experiencing this? Any ideas? There goes my gaming time. Thanks.

Edit: I also tried running as administrator

I am having the same issue. Trying to download the launcher on a new computer is incredibly slow and keeps failing. Multiple errors, and it cannot be my network as I am getting 500+mbps download speed. Any ideas???

I was able to get around this issue by going to the jagex launcher web site and requesting a manual DL which prompted a DL or Repair? question. I chose repair. It was *still* incredibly slow but handled from the web page instead of the launcher it would restart itself when the IO timed out and eventually provided a functional launcher.
