If you right-click Ali or Trindy (in the quest area), do you see a "Leave" option? If so then try clicking this.
Otherwise, you could try opening the Quest Journal and seeing what it tells you to do next - and post that here if you still need help.

I don't believe it was ever a right click option, but a dialogue option.

What options do you have when speaking to either character mentioned above? Can I turn in a paper without citing all sources?
